THE COLLABORATIVE
K.N.O.W. 2 Prevent is a collaboration of Westchester County organizations that came together to empower parents/guardians and other caring adults with the essential tools to raise resilient and confident children, help strengthen relationships, and reduce risky behaviors.
Originally conceived during the pandemic as a way to deliver much-needed programming to our communities, K.N.O.W. to Prevent continues to bring virtual presentations by nationally-recognized experts who focus on topics relevant to parents and caring adults. At the same time, we have recognized that through shared planning and combining our resources, we can amplify our impact by bringing prevention strategies that reach across the boundaries of individual cities, towns and villages to benefit the diverse communities that make up Westchester County.
In addition to our virtual speaker series, K.N.O.W. 2 Prevent has expanded its scope and focused our collective impact to support countywide professional learning for prevention professionals on drug trends and prevention topics of shared concern, as well as investing in activities that foster youth engagement in peer-to-peer prevention strategies.
